My pharmacy says it didn't receive my prescription
Prescriptions are usually sent (by fax or e-prescription) right after your provider finalizes your visit. Some pharmacies take a little time to enter them into their system. What to do 1. Give it 24 hours after your appointment, then call the pharmacy to check. 2. Check which pharmacy it went to. It goes to the default pharmacy on your account at the time of your visit. You can see this under User Settings > My Pharmacies or in your visit summary. 3. Still not there? Contact us by chat, at [email protected], or at [email protected]. Include: - your name and the date of your appointment - the medication name - the pharmacy's name, address, phone and fax number We'll confirm where it was sent and re-send it, to a different pharmacy if you'd like. Tip: if it was sent to the wrong pharmacy (for example, an old address), tell us. We can contact that pharmacy to cancel it so your new pharmacy can fill it. Then update your default pharmacy to avoid it happening again.
How do I get a refill or a change to my prescription?
Requesting a refill 1. Open Messages (click your name, top right → Messages), or email [email protected]. See Messages 2. Tell us you need a refill. Our Member Services team passes your request to your provider. (Providers don't reply directly in the chat.) 3. Include the medication name, dose, how many refills you need, your provider's name and your pharmacy. Your provider decides whether a refill is appropriate. Depending on the medication, they may ask you to book a follow-up visit or get labs done first. My provider is no longer with GoldCare If the provider who prescribed your medication has left GoldCare, please book a new Primary & Acute Care visit so another provider can review and prescribe it. Something's wrong with a prescription If the dose, form (for example, delayed-release) or quantity doesn't match what you discussed, contact us right away and we'll send it to your provider to correct. Running out soon? Ask several days before you run out.
