Why can't I find a provider in my state, or my usual provider?
Prescribing providers can only see patients in states where they are licensed. GoldCare shows you the prescribers available for the address on your account. If the list looks short or empty 1. Check that your address is correct: click your name (top right) → User Settings → Personal Information. 2. Go to Home → New Appointment, click the Prescriber tab and choose Primary & Acute Care to see the prescribers licensed for your state. 3. Advisors and coaches aren't limited by state. Seeing a "Possible Location Issue" notice? It appears when you seem to be signing in from outside the state on your account. It's there to keep care within medical licensing laws, and it may limit which prescribers you can book. Click Got it to continue. If you still don't see a prescriber, contact us. We'll tell you which Primary Care providers are licensed in your state. Moving or traveling? You can use GoldCare from any U.S. state. You'll then see the prescribers licensed there. - Update your pharmacy too, so prescriptions go somewhere you can pick them up. - Pay attention to the time zone shown when you book. My usual provider isn't showing They may not be licensed in the state on your account, or they may no longer be with GoldCare. You can choose another provider in the same category. They can review your history, and your records stay in your account.
Are appointments recorded? Can a family member join my visit?
Recordings Your telehealth appointment is recorded. You can rewatch it any time: 1. Go to Appointments and click the appointment. 2. On the Appointment Details page, open the recording. Recordings are only available to you (the patient). For privacy reasons, they can't be downloaded. Can someone join my visit? If you'd like a family member or caregiver to join your visit or speak for you, a medical Power of Attorney is required. 1. Upload a copy of the Power of Attorney to your GoldCare account before the visit. 2. Let us know who will be joining. Without a Power of Attorney, the other person needs their own GoldCare account for their own visits. At checkout you confirm that only people covered by the PMA will take part in the visit (the Appointment & PMA confirmation). If that rule isn't followed, the appointment can be cancelled and charged in full. See What is the PMA?
Can I see the same provider, keep my regular doctor, or get an in-person referral?
Can I see the same provider every time? Yes, you choose who you book with. You can keep seeing the same provider as long as they're licensed in your state and have availability. If they're not available, you can book with another provider in the same category. Can I keep my regular doctor? Of course. You can keep seeing your own doctor outside GoldCare. Many members use GoldCare for unrushed visits and second opinions. Can I get an in-person referral? Yes. If you and your GoldCare prescriber agree that you need to be seen in person, they can write a referral to a local doctor of your choice. Tell your provider where you'd like to be referred. Are there GoldCare clinics near me? Not at the moment. GoldCare is telehealth only today.
