Membership & Plans
I'm a caregiver. How do I manage a member's care?
If you help someone else with their health care (for example, an elderly parent), here's how to set things up. Is the person on your family plan? The family plan covers your spouse and children under 26 living in your household. If that's who you care for, add them to your family plan and manage their profile from your account. See How do I add a family member? Caring for someone else, such as a parent The person you care for needs their own GoldCare membership: 1. Create their account with their details. 2. Make sure they have signed the PMA agreement before booking any appointments. Joining or speaking for them in a visit To join a visit or act on someone else's behalf, a medical Power of Attorney is required. - The member uploads a copy of the Power of Attorney to their GoldCare account. - Without a Power of Attorney, each person needs to use their own account for their own visits. Need help? Email [email protected].
How do I change my plan (monthly, annual, family, upgrades)?
Our team will change your plan for you. Send us a chat or email [email protected] and tell us what you'd like: - Switch from annual to monthly (or monthly to annual) - Add or remove the family plan - Add or remove a monthly 15- or 30-minute appointment upgrade When does the change take effect? Plan changes take effect on your next billing date. We don't prorate the current period. You keep your current plan's benefits until then (for example, an unused monthly appointment coupon stays usable until the end of the current cycle). Family plan added by mistake? Tell us and we'll remove it, and a member of our team will review the charge. Will I lose anything? No. Your account, your records and your providers stay the same when you change plans. If you drop an appointment upgrade, you simply pay for visits as you go.
Family plan: what does it cost and who can I add?
The family plan lets you share your GoldCare membership benefits with your family. Price - +$12/month on top of your $17 monthly membership (a family total of $29/month), or - +$120/year on top of your $169 annual membership One family add-on covers all eligible family members. You can add as many eligible family members as you wish for that price. Your card statement shows a small card processing fee, so the $12 add-on appears as $12.37. Who can be added - Your spouse - Your children under 26 Everyone on the family plan must live in the same household. Parents, in-laws and other relatives need their own membership. Every family member 18 or older must sign the GoldCare Private Membership Association (PMA) agreement. Things to know - Each family member gets their own profile, so their appointments and records stay separate from yours. - If you only see an "Individual" plan in your account, you need to add the family plan before you can add people. - Family plan added by mistake? Contact us and we'll remove it, and a member of our team will review the charge. Next step: How do I add a family member?

Is GoldCare insurance? Can I use it with my insurance or Medicare?
No, the GoldCare Health & Wellness membership is not insurance. It's a membership that gives you direct access to independent clinicians and health education. Can I keep my insurance or Medicare? Yes. GoldCare works alongside private insurance, employer insurance, Medicare, or no insurance at all. Many members use GoldCare for unrushed visits and second opinions and keep their existing coverage for everything else. Does GoldCare bill my insurance or Medicare? No. GoldCare is self-pay. It does not accept insurance, can't be billed to Medicare or Medicaid, and does not process claims. You're free to seek reimbursement yourself: - After a visit, the diagnosis (ICD-10) codes are available in your medical record. - You can request an itemized receipt (superbill), and you can pay with an HSA or FSA card (eligibility is between you and your plan). See HSA/FSA and receipts - GoldCare is not involved in any communication with your insurance company. Prescriptions and labs Your GoldCare provider can send prescriptions to the pharmacy you choose, including one that accepts your prescription insurance. Labs and imaging are done at outside facilities, where you can use your own coverage if you want. Looking for coverage for large medical bills? See GoldCare Insurance and HealthShare options.
What are the monthly 15- and 30-minute appointment upgrades?
If you see a provider regularly, you can add a monthly appointment upgrade to your membership: | Upgrade | Price | What you get | |---|---|---| | Monthly 15-minute appointment | +$50/month | One 15-minute appointment coupon each month | | Monthly 30-minute appointment | +$90/month | One 30-minute appointment coupon each month | How the coupon works - You receive one coupon each month. It applies automatically at checkout when you book an appointment. - The coupon can be used with any provider type, including prescribers and advisors. - Coupons do not roll over. If you don't use it, it expires at the end of that month and a new one is issued for the next month. - If your appointment runs longer than the coupon, the extra time is charged separately. Adding or removing an upgrade Contact our team by chat or at [email protected] and we'll update your plan. If you remove an upgrade, the change takes effect on your next billing date, and your remaining coupon can be used until then.
